Facilitator Resources for Roundtables
Every WISL Roundtable is an opportunity to have honest conversations with other servant-leaders. Whether you’re facilitating for the first time or you’ve led a dozen sessions, this page has what you need to prepare.
Quick Start: Facilitator Guide
What is a Roundtable Facilitator?
A Roundtable facilitator is the person who opens and guides a WISL Roundtable session.
Each month, the facilitator works through the agenda, brings a few reflective questions, and then steps back to let the discussion unfold.
Facilitators are volunteer-led roles that work to create room for honest and fair conversation.

- Prep: Use the reflective prompts in the facilitator guide and come prepped with 2-3 discussion questions.
- Speak from own experience: Share what you've actually lived, not theory, and lead with humility.
- Listen before you react: Take in what is said before responding or pushing back.
- Protect the disagreement: If the group splits on an idea, name that as a good sign, not a problem to smooth over.
- Stay close to the topic: Don’t let the conversation linger off topic for too long.
- What’s shared stays in the room: Nothing here should be shared outside of discussion without consent.
- Close with takeaway: End by asking each person to provide one takeaway from the conversation.
