Our Roundtables are inclusive conversations that meet once a month to talk openly about leadership and community — rooted in servant leadership.
Each one is led by a volunteer facilitator walking their own servant leadership journey. While every Roundtable discussion is slightly different, each one is built around a proven conversation model. There is no cost and no pressure. You just show up, listen, engage, and share what’s on your mind.

What to Expect at a Roundtable:
- At the start, everyone will share a quick, two-breath (two-line) introduction to get to know each other
- The facilitator introduces the discussion topic (usually based around SL values or challenges)
- Then, the conversation is open to everyone to listen and share their perspectives
- Everyone will be asked to share one takeaway from the conversation
- At the end, the facilitator concludes the discussion with any notes or final takeaways

Topic: “Character: A Foundational Piece of Servant Leadership”
Topic Summary: While skills, knowledge, and experience are important, it is our character that determines how we use them. Character is revealed in the choices we make, especially when faced with pressure, adversity, or opportunities that test our integrity. Servant leaders understand that leadership is not defined by position or authority, but by trust. That trust is earned through honesty, humility, courage, accountability, and consistency. Character is demonstrated not only in the big decisions, but in the everyday moments when no one else is watching. Join us as we explore how character shapes our leadership, influences our relationships, and strengthens our ability to serve others. Together, we’ll discuss practical ways to intentionally develop the kind of character that inspires confidence, builds trust, and leaves a lasting impact.
Questions for Conversation:
- Who has demonstrated exceptional character in your life, and what qualities made that person so influential?
- When has your character been tested as a leader, and what did you learn from that experience?
- What daily habits or intentional practices help strengthen your character and enable you to lead others more effectively?
